Powerboat Instructor Training

East Anglian Sea School offers a range of instructor training which will give students the ability to instruct in a variety of disciplines.

Powerboat Level 2 Instructor 

Instructor Skills Assessment


This pre-assessment must taken by potential instructor candidates before they can undertake the Power Boat Level 2 Instructor course. The assessment will be a test of your practical boat handling skills and depth of knowledge of the subject. You will be expected to demonstrate good skills to the standard of Powerboat Level 2.

Power Boat Level 2 Instructor Course

3 days: £624.00

Power Boat Level 2 instructor is a three day course to cover planning, teaching and the assessment of level 1 and 2 students. Candidates must hold a Power Boat Level 2 certificate,  current First Aid certificate and be at least 16 years of age.

Power Boat Advanced Instructor

2 days: £395.00

Advanced Instructors lasts over two days and covers safety boat or advanced student teaching and assessment. Candidates must hold an Advanced Powerboat course completion certificate, as well as one of: the Advanced Powerboat Certificate of Competence, RYA Yachtmaster Coastal (Power) Certificate of Competence or RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (Power) Certificate of Competence. They must also be at least 17 years of age and have attended a two-day Powerboat Advanced Instructor endorsement course.
