RYA Coastal Skipper
5 days: £685.00
The RYA Coastal Skipper tidal practical is a 5 day 'skippering' course for yachtsmen and women who have a knowledge of sailing and navigation and are aspiring to skipper cruising yachts safely on coastal and offshore passages by day and night.
We advise you to have attended the RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore shorebased course, or have knowledge to that level, as your instructor will not have time to additionally teach the theory syllabus during the week.
Coastal Skippers should be able to undertake more difficult passages by day and night as well as being able to handle the yacht in more demanding situations and conditions. It is a satisfying but intensive week and this course will help you gain the confidence on coastal passages.
The minimum age for award of certificate is 17.
